Fibromyalgia

Our Method

Our Unique Approach to Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder causing widespread pain, tenderness, fatigue, and sleep disturbances affecting people of any age or background, with its causes not yet fully understood and no definitive cure currently available.

Fibromyalgia Overview

Fibromyalgia is a chronic, long-lasting disorder characterised by widespread pain and tenderness throughout the body, accompanied by persistent fatigue and difficulty sleeping. People with the disorder have a heightened sensitivity to pain, and while scientists do not fully understand its cause, it is a recognised and significant medical condition.

Who Is Affected

Anyone can develop fibromyalgia, though it is more prevalent in women than men. It can affect people of any age — including children — but most commonly begins in middle age, with the likelihood of developing it increasing as a person grows older. Its widespread prevalence underscores the need for effective, personalised treatment strategies.

Conventional Treatment Approaches

While there is no cure for fibromyalgia, symptoms can be managed through a combination of approaches. Treatment typically involves exercise and movement therapies, psychological and behavioural therapy, and medications — all working together to reduce pain, improve sleep quality, and enhance overall quality of life.

Our Regenerative Medicine Approach

Through regenerative medicine and MSC-based therapies, we target the underlying inflammatory and neurological pathways contributing to fibromyalgia. Mesenchymal stem cells exert immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects that may help reduce pain sensitivity, promote tissue healing, and restore balance to the dysregulated immune and nervous system responses associated with the condition.
